LERA's aim is to promote the shooting, collection, conservation and study of the Lee Enfield series of rifles.
Established 20 years ago by our Life President Paul Quilliam and a group of Enfield enthusiasts, the association now has over 200 members in the UK and is associated with many other clubs and organisations worldwide who share our passion for Enfield rifles. Most of our members are collectors of Enfield and other military rifles.
We are affiliated to the National Rifle Association and hold regular meetings and shoots at the National Shooting Centre at Bisley.
At Bisley, members shoot on Short Siberia range at 100 and 200 yards, out to 600 yards on Century range and to 1,000 yards on Stickledown range. The Ash Vale MOD range complex is another favourite venue.
A recent development at Bisley is the installation of electronic targets on Century from 100 to 300 yards. These are very suitable for the Enfield style of shooting
Each year, LERA mounts competitions that focus on historic service rifles.
Membership is just £40 per year for standard members, and just £30 for those over 65 or under 25.
